IMA Makes the Nice List at the Santa Run

Near record-high temps on December 3 were nice, but not the reason several IMA staffers were feeling so good. That warm and fuzzy feeling was from participating in the ninth annual Santa 5K Run & Walk. The event supports the ERAs Senior Network (formerly Interfaith Senior Programs), and draws hundreds of participants to downtown Waukesha for fun and fundraising. The IMA-sponsored team included Sarah, Staci, Mikayla, Ryan, and guests—each sporting Santa hats and other festive attire.

“Who wouldn’t want to get dressed up and run around downtown Waukesha?” asks Sarah. “This is a tradition that brings the community together in a festive way.” Staci adds, “This was my first time and I had a blast. There were volunteers all along the way, encouraging runners and spreading holiday cheer.” Ryan loved the friendly, local feeling and Mikayla said it was an ideal way to jump-start the holiday season. And everyone agreed that going out for pizza after the run was the perfect way to top off a fun morning.

This is just one of a number of community events that IMA supports throughout the year. We’re proud of our tradition of giving back, and look forward to more opportunities in 2018. Happy holidays, everyone!
